That Baby DVD/CD review:

I got this chance to review this CD/DVD over the past couple weeks and i'm here to tell ya about it.

I was leary of the whole "kids CD" thing because i'm usually not a big fan of them. They are just annoying little songs that get stuck in my head and the kids usually end up fighting over which song they want to listen to. I've stuck with making my own music CD's that have kid songs on them that I can stand to listen to for more than 10 minutes. lol

So I got this, put it in the player and the kids came around. They started dancing and playing around to the music and they LOVED it. and in actuality- it wasn't annoying either! lol The songs on there are easy to listen to, and I've listened to it so many times and still don't mind it. It's literally all the kids want to listen to right now- which is fine by me! It's a mix of different types of music- there's soft songs and acoustic songs, there's upbeat and dancing songs. I'ts such a nice mixture- i'm very glad I got the chance to have this in my home.

As for the DVD...... it's the same songs on the DVD as it is on the CD. some of them have taken on the approach of a "Baby Einstein" effect using drawings and computer animation bits to go along with the music. Other songs have little kids (around age 3-6) dancing and signing along with the songs. My 2 year old LOVES the DVD. she'll sit and watch it and be completely fascinated. My 4 (almost 5) year old and 6 year old, well... they sat and watched it for about 5 minutes before getting "bored". They recognized the music and sang along, but they'd rather listen than watch it. I don't think it's something I'd personally choose to purchase. I'd much rather just have teh CD to listen to and call it good. but then again, I'm not a "music video" kind of person. If you're into the Baby Einstein movies and music- I'm positive you'd love this set as well.

I'm gonna have to check that out, Amber. I'm sure Connor would love it. He's way into music just like his mama. I'll have to order it off the webby, not Amazon. I saw the note.
