Thanksgiving was a good one! I have to mention how much I love being back with family and that we can finally spend the holidays with them!
We had a good meal and then went to see "Blindside" and have to HIGHLY recommend it. It was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time- i totally plan on getting it once it's out on DVD.
Then we headed up to Idaho for the rest of the weekend and enjoyed being home wiht family and fun. The kids of course hate leaving and always want to stay, but alas....must get back to the real world eventually right?
The only NOT FUN part of the weekend was that we got tragic news of my Sister-in-laws mother. She had an accident and died. We were present when she got the call and I don't think I've ever felt for useless than I did then. I know that things will eventually be back to normal, but to watch her be in so much pain and to watch my brother be so sad because he didn't know what to do was hard to deal with. What I feel is obviously nothing compared to what her family is going through right now, but it is hard to just sit by and just watch.
I'm just greatful for my personal beliefs and my faith that I know I'll see my family even after I die and there is no greater comfort to me than that.
So my lesson and challenge for this holiday season..... spend time with those you love. Give them hugs, tell them you love them, and put the past in the past. Forgive and move on with life and be a better person because you'll never know when or if you'll ever get the chance again.
Hope your Holidays are merry and bright!
